Softball History:
Heather has played
with the Lady Gator’s travel program since age eight. Highlights
include playing for two national championship teams,
(FAST Nationals 2003 & 2004) Through the
beginning of the 2006 travel season, Heather had been a
player for Lady Gator travel teams that had amassed 42
tournament championships. Heather is a pure power
pitcher reaching mid-60's with her rise and fastballs.
While her speed can be overpowering, the ball movement
and location of her 6 pitches make her very a very
difficult to hit.
Other:
Heather is the daughter of Gregg and Monique Simpson.
Her father Gregg, has managed the Gator travel team
since her nine year old season. Heather has an
older sister,
Amanda,
that played travel softball with Gardens and Dwyer High
School, where she was a Palm Beach Post all area team
catcher. Heather is currently in her sophomore
year of high school. As a freshman she pitched for
the Jupiter High School varsity team recording 6 shutouts
in 8 starts.
Favorite
Highlight: Throwing an 7 inning,
12 strikeout, shutout over the Diamond Dusters in the
2004 FAST National 12 & Under
championship game.
Personal Goals:
To play college softball
and pursue a career in medicine.
