John Whalen, the league's acting President, withdrew from the board.  Scott Lizza, the active Vice President assumed the President's position.  Bobby Lint was voted in as the new Vice President and R. V. Mathews was voted onto the board as a new member at large.

Travel Manager Selection

The leagues' 2008 summer ball travel managers have been selected.  In addition to manager selection, a drafting order has been assigned for each age group with the exception of the 10's which will be determined within the week.  The following is the list of individuals that have been awarded the manager positions for the travel teams in the various age groups:

The Annual PBGYAA meeting was held at Palm Beach Gardens City Hall and our new 2008 Softball Board was elected.  Our softball program had a strong turn-out with over 45 people in attendance.  Additionally, it was great to see the interest in participating on the board so strong, with 20 people running for positions.  The votes were counted and following is a list of the new board's make-up.

FACILITY UPDATE

Our four renovated Lake Catherine Softball Fields and new concession/office building have our softball facility sitting among the elite facilities in the state. 

We greatly appreciate all the support we receive from the City of Palm Beach Gardens for our program.

The softball complex's recent renovations include the following:

The new improvements have greatly enhanced the softball experience we are able to provide the girls of our program.
